My dear great grandmother, Munner, as we called her, passed away last Sunday. She had alzheimer's and was in an assisted living center for the past 7 years. I was feeling guilty because I haven't seen her in a while, but I find myself greatful for the time we had together prior to her illness. I have so many great memories of our summer trips we spent with her and Cleone! They make me happy to think of them. I am sad I couldn't attend her funeral, so I would just like to say how much she will be missed, and I hope she knows how much I loved her!!

After Mike went to work, my friend Tabitha called and invited us to the park right by our house. It was a beautiful day and so we walked.. plus Mike had the car. We had fun at the park with Tabitha (mom), Bradley (Dad), Gavin, Paisley and Slinky (the puppy). Thanks you guys.. we had a blast!

Valentine's Day! Part One...

Mike had to work and my mother in law was in the hospital. Mike had to call in on Saturday to visit his mom in the hospital. So, he got to sleep with us Saturday night. The kids and I woke up earlier than him and I gave them their V-Day treats. We had fun making faces and playing bubbles. Then Mike got up and we headed down to the hospital. After a day there.. Mike headed off to work. I made some yummy treats and we exchanged cards. It was an ok day, and we got good news at the end of it.. Mike's mom got to go home! She's actually doing a lot better. We're very thankful for that!

The decorations are cute.. Logan helped with that. It's the contruction that is awful.. my fault. That dang frosting dried so quick, I couldn't smooth it out. Also, I couldn't get it to fit together very well. I need a lot more practice! Oh well, Logan and Maddie are happy with it, so better luck next year!

Logan recently wanted to grow his hair out like Scott from Imagination Movers. If you're un familiar with who he is or who Imagination Movers are, go to Playhousedisney.com and check it out. Pretty funny. Anyways, so he's been growing his hair out for a couple months or so, and I've been liking it cause I can spike it or do a little mohawk and stuff and it looks real cute. well, then he came to me last weekend and said he wanted to shave it like Daddy's. Oh, and this was right before pics too. So, I made him a deal if he wore it spikey for pics, then I'd shave it, well, buzz it! So, here it is.. before and after. I think I like it in between, but he's handsome no matter what!

Today my beautiful baby girl turned 2! These two years have flown by. I remember the day I had her! She's at such a fun age, and her personality is showing through more and more each day! I'm loving it. She's so silly, loving, stubborn, and adorable!
She got shy when we sang to her. It was funny! But she loved her cake. She dug right in. When she opened her present, she tried to put the wrapping back on. We had to tell her it's ok to take the wrapping off!

When she's at brother's school in the morning, she likes to go down the slide, and at the bottom she says, "Weeee!"

Logan's first injury at school

I got a call at about 11:10am yesterday. When I saw Katz Elementary was calling I got a little nervous. So, Logan was at recess and he bumped heads with another kid. He got a cut above his eye. It bled a lot beacause heads always do. I asked the nurse if he was ok, and if he was he crying. She said no he was being very brave. When Mike picked him up he had a bandaid on it. They came to my work to pick me up. Logan was trying to be so strong and not cry. When we got home, we cleaned it up and it bled a little more, so we put a new bandaid back on. This morning he has a little black eye, but he's ok. I'm sure this is the first of many.. lucky it wasn't too bad! I'll try to post some pics this weekend of it.. My poor little guy!

Oh... and they have a behavior chart that goes by colors. Blu=excellent, green=good, yellow=not so good, and red=bad. The kids can move up and down on it throughout the day. If they're super bad they get a red note sent home. If they're super good they get a blue note sent home. Well, Logan got a blue note sent home yesterday, and it was before his injury so it wasn't just a sympathy note!! Yeah Logan.. we're so proud of you!

Logan had an emotional first week. He's upset I can't take him or pick him up, so he won't talk to me at lunch. They come and pick me up for lunch everyday. Luckily Mike can take him, but I have to work. I tried to explain this to him, but he's still upset. I'm hoping he'll settle in and do better. Also, according to Logan, he's the only one who hasn't got into trouble the first week. That's good, but kinda sad everyone else is being bad! He said he only likes Miss Driscoll a little bit cause she yells a lot.. let's hope that gets better too! Here's him on the first day.. he looks so grown up!

Road trip with Rami...

Last weekend I had the fun oppertunity to go on a trip with my cousin, Rami and her kids. Our husbands decided not to go which kinda sucked, but next time we've already decided, they're coming! So 7 hours in a car with 5 kids wasn't the funnest thing I've ever done, but it worked out! We also all slept in one room which was a little cramped, but it was kinda fun like a big sleep over! The first night we didn't get into town till after midnight. Then the babies decided they wanted to stay up and play, so we didn't get to sleep till 2:30am. We were pretty tired the next day because we got up around 5:30am to get ready to go to the parade. We saw a little of the parade then met up with Jess and my cousins for lunch. That was fun! Then we went to the pool at the condo we stayed at. It was fun, and Maddie loved it. Logan jumped in the pool all by himself which was a pretty big deal. I was proud of him! Then we saw the amazing fireworks by Liberty Park. It was such a long day.. we got back around 11:30. Luckily we slept in a little on Saturday morning. We got to see Jess and family at the park and the kids had so much fun together. I don't know what we were thinking, but we decided to go to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. FYI.. 5 kids with 2 adults.. not an enjoyable dinner out!! We didn't get the chance to say 2 words to each other! It was nice to come back and go swimming again then go to sleep at a decent time! We got up early Sunday and headed back to Vegas. The trip back was better than I thought it would be. The girls actually took a good nap. The older kids watched movies the whole time. It was great! Thanks Rami.. we had a great time. We'll do it again sometime!

Oh my goodness.. this was the funniest thing ever. We always give Logan those cute little fake tattooes.(that's mis-spelled I'm sure!) Well, we just hold a wipe on it for about 30 seconds then it's done. You would have thought we gave her a real one! She cried during it, then after too. She also didn't like it when we put one on her brother! But she finally warmed up to it and was fine. Every once and a while throughout the night she'd point at it and whine a little.. It was hilarious!

We had a great night with our cousins! My cousin Rami's little girl, Ella, turned one on the second, so we had a little b-day bash/firework party. It was fun! The kids played water games in the grass and did sparklers. They had fun hitting the pinata too. Then we headed over to the Santa Fe to watch the fireworks! It was a late night for us, getting home at 10.. but we had a blast!!

Spring Break

I know this is kinda out of order, sorry. The first week of April, I was lucky enough to be off from Tuesday through Friday. It was so nice to just hang out with the family! Since Mike only works weekends, we basically had all 4 days to just hang out, and it was great!

We had a friend get us into the Mirage Secret Garden.. thanks Jen. If we had to pay though, we would because it was fun! The dolphins were fun to watch. They were jumping and playing with some huge beach balls in the pool. The water was so beautiful too! Logan liked to go and watch them from underneath.

There were some huge tigers and lions. The coolest Lion was a massive brindel colored one. He was just chillin on a tree branch in the sun. Looking out like "ya, I'm the king"... it was awesome! We did see a few of the famous white tigers too. They were beautiful!

He wanted all the family together for a small party at the house. It was fun for all the cousins to play together.

Easter was fun! We colored eggs, of course. The easter bunny came and hid them.

Old Navy had a little "bash" where they were giving out balloons, doing face painting and there was a coloring station where they could color easter pics. It wasn't that great, but logan got his face painted. He liked it. Also, he got cotton candy so he was excited about that!

After church, our neighbor knocked on our door. She was hiding eggs outside and asked if Logan could come out and find some. That was fun.. he enjoyed it! It was such a beautiful day. We played outside with side walk chalk the easter bunny brought and bubbles! Such a nice day!

I had a great B-day. It was Thursday the 26th. We all know it's no more fun after 21 or so! Mike made my favorite.. strawberry cake with vanilla frosting. A few girls from work took me out to lunch.. Sonio's. It was super yummy! Friday night my mom and Ira brought me my favorite.. Cook on Wok. The best Chineese food in the world! Thanks to all who wished my a Happy day.. I truly had one! Today at work we all are wearing red or pink for Valentine's Day. (It's our casual Friday) Well, everyone but me. Somehow I didn't get the memo and I showed up in my Leaver and Gardner Orthodontic t-shirt. I called Mike and told him just cause I felt dumb, and he offered to bring me something to wear. I told him not to drive all the way down here, it's ok. Well, I'm just sitting here on the phone and the girl next to me puts a call on hold for me. I picked it up.. it was Mike! He was out front with a new shirt, a pair of shoes and a heart ring my dad gave me the year he died. He went and bought me a nice red shirt from Target. I was wearing blue shoes cause I had a blue shirt, and he even brought me different shoes! I had sent him a text that I should have worn my dad's heart ring and so he brought that too! I feel bad.. he's so sweet. Thanks hunny.. I love you!!

Logan loved his first day of pre-school! They practiced the letter of the day, played in the gym and made a groundhog's day craft! I asked him what they did in the gym, " We dude races and played ball." Translation.. they did races and played ball. He's so fuuny! Today he'll be practicing with scissors, playing with play-doh and number of the week! I'm about to call him and see how it went. He loves going and it's a nice little break for daddy too. This year was the first year that we were really into christmas in a long time. Christmas Eve marked 10 years since my dad died. Christmas has never been the same. Now we have the kids, it has made it easier for us to celebrate Christmas and have fun again. It was so exciting too because we moved and have a porch to put lights up and that was fun to decorate. here are some pics of the place and Christmas day. Logan told us, " This was the best Christmas ever!" It wasn't half bad!!

Maddie turned one on Wednesday the 19th. I can't believe it. It went by so fast! We had two celebrations for her. These pics are from the first one. Thanks to our cousins and family for coming! Logan has been his usual funny self. He was sure funny during the election. Which is weird cause Mike and I aren't very political at all. My father in law Bob is very conservative and even offered to pay Mike $50 to vote for Mccain and Palin. When Grandma came over one day, she left to go vote early. Logan told her before she left, " I hope you vote for Barack Obama." He's a huge fan of Barack Obama. He doesn't really have a reason. He just likes him. He was playing with Maddie and he was under a blanket screaming. Mike told him to quiet down. He said, "But daddy, I'm big scary John Mccain."
On Halloween night we went to this thing for my church. They handed out glow sticks. When we got home he was holding one up and he was like, " I'm John Mccain. Thanks for listening, and I approve this message." He did the same thing for Obama.

It's been a while

Dang... it's been a while since I've posted anything new. Well, Maddie is walking. She has been for a month or so. She will be 1 on Wednesday the 19th. That went by so quick! She's so cute and she makes funny faces. She fits in so well with us!

The Move

Monday we moved. My mother in law, Sandy, came over to help watch the kids. We had just got to the new place, and I had put a few toys in Logan's new room for the kids to play and stuff. It was our first load, and Logan closed the door, with a key lock, and left Maddie locked in the room alone. I called the guy we're renting from and he had the only key and was about 20 minutes away. Maddie was of course freakin out. We didn't want to kick in the door cause she was right there. So, as I'm on the phone with our landlord, Mike punched a hole in the door and got her out. So now we have a door to replace. Other than that, we love our new place and we can walk to a park across the street. Now we just need to get settled and it'll be great!

We're moving Monday, and we're sooooo excited! Every night Logan askes me, "Mommy, when I wake up, are you going to work?" I say yes, usually. Wednesday night he said, "Oh I thought we were moving tomorrow." He's silly. Now he's learned the days of the week, but he still doesn't quite understand the concept of time.
